Our Family Story
We are the Edwards-Blanchard family – a vibrant, loving blended family filled with love, diversity, and endless energy! Our home is a beautiful tapestry of cultures, ages, and personalities, united by strong family bonds and shared experiences.
Meet the Parents
Jose and Carmen are the heart of our family. Carmen brings her passion to her work as a doula and maternity coach in Southern Illinois, supporting and empowering mothers through their incredible journey of childbirth. Jose dedicates his professional life to serving the community through his work with the state government.
Our Amazing Kids
Our family is blessed with nine wonderful children, each unique and special:
- Our oldest is 20 years old he is in collage and working two jobs.
- We have a 17-year-old who is learning what it will mean to be an adult.
- A 15-year-old who is in high school working towards being a chef and enjoying cheerleading.
- Our 13-year-old is finishing up middle school and starting baseball with the hopes to continue into high school.
- An 11-year-old who loves art and is involved in an art club. No sports for her this year.
- Our 8-year-old who started to play soccer and is now going to try softball.
- A 5-year-old who started to play soccer and is now going to try t-ball. He has an IEP for speech and we will be sharing that journey.
- A curious 2-year-old who is WILD and wants to run FREE.
- And our newest addition, a 7-month-old baby who is learning to crawl and loving all the new flavors of food.
